On January 23, Hypertec highlighted a significant achievement by unveiling the production of the 100th UVeye Atlas Lite Vehicle AI inspection system on the company’s LinkedIn page. The post included an acknowledgment for all the teams involved, emphasizing their dedication, collaboration, and innovative spirit. This milestone showcases the Hypertec teams working hand in hand with our partner UVeye, illustrating their journey through challenges and their commitment to pioneering solutions.

The production of the Atlas Lite proved to be an ambitious project, with Hypertec venturing beyond the traditional boundaries of computer hardware manufacturing. Despite initial challenges related to parts supply and shipping, grappling with new product, working with vision cameras, and navigating the gap between process design and the realities of the production floor, the team quickly found their rhythm overcoming hurdles to establish a consistent production flow. Leading this charge was Hypertec’s Operations Excellence (OE) team, guided by Dany Von, Director, Production & Operational Excellence. With a process-oriented approach, this team collaborated closely with Hypertec’s Engineering, Dev Process and Production teams. According to Dany “innovation and creativity took center stage in this project. The methods and tools developed mirror Hypertec’s commitment to achieving a reliable monthly production while maintaining the highest quality standards.”

Collaborating with UVeye played a pivotal role in achieving this important milestone. Regular in-person and virtual meetings ensured meticulous adherence to quality assurance protocols. The collaboration went beyond quantity, placing a strong emphasis on product quality and recognizing the unique challenges posed by the new product. Ensuring the success of this phase, the Dev Process team actively developed and implemented an internal QA process, involving clear guidelines, step-by-step approvals from UVeye, and detailed checklists. This proactive approach not only led Hypertec to successfully reach this milestone but also established a solid foundation for expanding production in Montreal and Hypertec’s other manufacturing facility in Indianapolis.

Furthermore, the partnership with UVeye reached beyond the walls of the production facility. The alignment of vision and values between Hypertec and UVeye played a crucial role. The partnership, officially announced in December, aimed to kickstart mass production of UVeye’s innovative drive-through inspection systems, responding to the growing demand from various automotive industry players, highlighting a shared commitment to innovation and entrepreneurship.

The completion of the 100th Atlas Lite arch not only embodies Hypertec’s commitment to innovation, creativity, and adaptability but also sets the stage for further advancements and contributions to produce other UVeye products. As Hypertec takes pride in this accomplishment, it also underscores the company’s ability to navigate complexities, embrace challenges, and emerge stronger. This achievement stands as a milestone, signifying not just the culmination of hard work but the beginning of new possibilities. The successful production of the 100th Atlas Lite Arch is a testament to the company’s resilience, collaborative spirit, and relentless pursuit of excellence, as Hypertec looks ahead, confident and excited for the next steps.
