LaSalle, March 6, 2025 – Hypertec has officially launched the construction of its new global headquarters and manufacturing facility in LaSalle, at the intersection of Saint-Patrick and Angrignon streets. The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by LaSalle Mayor Nancy Blanchet, Hypertec Group CEO Simon Ahdoot, and Hypertec Construction President Eliot Ahdoot, marking the start of this major development.

“Today is a milestone moment for Hypertec as we break ground on our new center in LaSalle,” said Simon Ahdoot, CEO of Hypertec Group. “This project reflects our commitment to innovation, sustainability, and responsible growth. Thanks to the support of Mayor Blanchet and her team, we are bringing to life a shared vision of a future where technology and environmental responsibility go hand in hand.”

With an overall investment of more than $250 million, Hypertec’s new site will feature a cutting-edge sustainable technology manufacturing plant and an advanced research and development center. Designed to meet the highest standards of environmental responsibility, it will set a global benchmark for sustainable construction. The project will allow Hypertec to expand its operations in Montreal and create several hundred new high-skilled jobs, further strengthening the economic vibrancy of the Lachine Canal 4.0 innovation hub.

A Project Aligned with LaSalle’s Vision

This initiative is a perfect fit with LaSalle’s long-term vision of fostering sustainable economic growth while reinforcing its position as a strategic employment hub for innovative industries.

“This investment is the result of a strong collaboration between the City of Montreal’s Economic Development team, Hypertec Group, and the LaSalle borough,” said Mayor Blanchet. “Together, we’ve demonstrated that shared goals can be achieved by both protecting green spaces and driving economic vitality in LaSalle.”

As part of its commitment to environmental stewardship, Hypertec plans to maximize green space on the site by developing an urban forest surrounding the center, including green roofs and urban greenhouses.

“In the face of today’s environmental challenges, we are proud to welcome a leading technology player that is fully aligned with sustainability principles,” added Mayor Blanchet. “The revitalization and redevelopment of this site represent an important step toward an ecological transition. It underscores our commitment to ensuring the resilience of our infrastructure while addressing climate challenges.”

Balancing Economic Growth with Environmental Responsibility

For Eliot Ahdoot, President of Hypertec Construction, the new headquarters embodies a vision where technological innovation and sustainability go hand in hand.

“The new Hypertec Center is designed to push the boundaries of engineering and manufacturing practices while adhering to the highest standards of energy efficiency and safety,” he said. “This facility will enable us to deliver high-value solutions and services on a global scale.”
“The arrival of Hypertec in LaSalle represents a significant step forward for our borough,” concluded Mayor Blanchet. “It demonstrates that innovation can be a powerful force in the fight against climate change while driving economic prosperity, further positioning LaSalle as a key technological and commercial hub.”
