Hypertec Launches New CIARA TRIDENT IC Series Immersion-Born Servers

Cutting-edge high-density sustainable solution for high-performance computing (HPC), cloud computing, machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI).

Montréal, Canada, June 29, 2023Hypertec, an innovative global provider of sustainable technology products and solutions, is proud to announce the launch of the TRIDENT iC series 6th Generation immersion-born servers, the latest addition to its innovative TRIDENT product line, powered by Intel Xeon Scalable 4th Generation and AMD EPYC’s 4th Generation processors.

To date, Hypertec has successfully deployed over 250,000 cores cooled by immersion technology. The TRIDENT iC 6th Generation series servers further reinforce the company’s position as the innovator and leader in this field. Specifically designed for immersion cooling environments, this solution optimizes energy efficiency and sustainability for applications that require the highest level of performance.

Data centers worldwide currently face significant challenges due to rising power costs, limited space availability, and the implementation of new environmental regulations aimed at reducing carbon footprint. Hypertec is at the forefront of the transition to immersion cooling. The TRIDENT iC servers are specifically designed with an immersion-born architecture, offering an ideal solution to sustainably run CPU and GPU-intensive workloads. Through the adoption of immersion-born servers, data centers can minimize their physical space requirements and environmental impact, while achieving greater processing capabilities in a high-density environment. In addition, immersion-born servers will result in extended server lifespan and provide enhanced reliability and stability.

“These additions to our TRIDENT iC series reaffirm our commitment to leadership in immersion cooling technology and the creation of a more sustainable computing industry,” said Jonathan Ahdoot, President of Hypertec HTS. “Hypertec will continue to be an innovator in developing solutions to effectively cool the latest generation of high-performance CPU and GPU, while mitigating the environmental impact of data center energy consumption.”

“Our immersion cooling systems play a crucial role in reducing the global environmental impact of IT. Currently, data centers consume 3% of the world’s energy, but our solutions aim to bring that down to 2%. By incorporating heat reuse, we can further reduce it to just 1%, making data centers more cost-effective, and effortlessly sustainable,” says Eliot Ahdoot, Hypertec’s Chief Innovation & Sustainability Officer.
